Hastings Direct needed a marketing revamp. It all felt a bit old-fashioned and charmless. Using the seaside town as inspiration, a new playful world was imagined… where Stephen Seagull (see what we did there) and Harry Hastings make financial stuff delightfully simple. All shot in camera with puppetry, the campaign also gave the clients more bang for their buck, as the films were designed to be artfully slotted together, to create multiple edits. This modular approach meant craft and quality weren’t sacrificed for cost and quantity.
